Home Tour Tuesday {My Peaceful Place}

Good Morning Y'all!! I hope everyone is having a great week. Getting all that decorating done and shopping complete so that you can ENJOY this glorious season? I wish I could say I am making a dent out here in Houston but to be honest, I have bought 2 gifts!! {the rest of uhm errr for moi! lol} Today is a new day though. I am going to search for a spot to run and then I am hitting the streets in full shopping mode:)

And it's Home Tour Tuesday again- I am traveling so I am not too prepared with a "good" image. Thanksfully I had one on my phone. To be completely honest, I do not rest. Period.  I am always doing something. If I don't have anything to do, I will find something to do. I can't stand to sit still.

This was obviously a hard topic for me. After thinking about it, I came to the realization that the only time I sit in "peace" and do nothing {pray & think} is in the tub. Now these visits are few & far between. If you ever hear I go in the tub, you know I am totally wiped out, sick or dying.

This is an image that I took a few weeks ago {the weekend I stressed over my heart , well, ya know because I WASN'T GOING TO SURVIVE WITH ALL THE DEAD HEART TISSUE!!} I sat in here for gosh, forever. Praying. Crying.  Thank God for answered prayers!

LOL, now that I think about it, my "peaceful place" should have been my craft spot upstairs! Although I don't visit it too much but I do love it!

Miscellany Monday

COMING TO YOU VIA IPONE....EXCUSE ALL TYPOS PLEASE

1. More excited than a kid at Disney!
I arrived in Houston on Saturday. I'll be here next Saturday. No agenda. Out hotel is across the Hwy from THE GALLERIA:). In the middle of everything. Kids are home with their grandma & the Mr is out here working. Nothing but good food and good shopping!

2. If your tree is leaning, don't start to decorate it!!
I learned this the hard way. I was determined to get it decorated for the kids before I left town. Well, it was slightly leaning and I thought I'd get started while I waited for mr to come fix it...... 9ft tree with glass ornaments.... Right in top of me! (tile floor)





This was at the end when it was almost all cleaned. I got sidetracked getting glass out of my hand.

3. I'm a little OCD like that :)
I function better with routine. I like things done the same way, the same time, everytime, yada yada. Since my Wednesday posts usually involve words and aren't so wordless, I'm doing a semi wordless wednesday. Be sure to come link up!!

4. You're outta sight but not outta mind!
I haven't been blog hopping in a few days. Doesn't mean I don't think of my friends. Isn't it funny show you see something or hear something and it makes you think of a blog friend? :). I can't get my Mac to connect to the wifi in the hotel & so it's a lil difficult to come visit. I will catch up soon!

5.10 hrs prep & 15 min to eat......
Grrrrrrrr it amazes me allllll the time I spent getting my menu together, hitting a few grocery stores to get allllll I needed, allllll the $$ I spent, alllll the time I spent cooking & baking FOR IT TO TAKE 15 MIN TO EAT & then clean for the next 1.5 hrs! Next year, I'm either taking a trip or it's being catered :p

{semi} Wordless Wednesday:Santa Baybee

Morning Y'all!! What is it that your asking Santa Baybee for? What is it that you can't live without?? Must have or you can't go on?? (tell me cause I may need it too!)

Honestly, I don't need anything. I like a lot of things but really don't need anything. But....

If I had to pick out something though for santa baybee to bring, these are a few items that would be on my list-

hunter original wellies in chocolate brown

burberry crinkled gauze scarf

{or the cashmere, i'm easy!}

tory burch eddie

{these are waaaaaaaaay more comfy than the reva's}

although i wish they came in chocolate-

upside, they match the scarf!

Home Tour Tuesday

Good Morning Y'all!! Mercy, I feel like I am outta the loop. It's taking all I have to blog much less blog hop. I have had some things going on that weren't planned and now I'm trying to get ready for a 6 day trip, kids out of school, holidays and LIFE! Please forgive me :(

Home Tour Tuesday-

"Two things in the house I am thankful for"

I must say this was rather "hard" for me.

I love everything and need so many "things" and feel I may die without them all!

I first decided on my corkscrew & coffee pot(s)

Well, then my dishwasher decided it wasn't going to live after yesterday so........

the corkscrew flew out the window.

#1 my dishwasher

see my pots on top? grrrrrr I handwashed everything and then stuck it all in so the hot water could hopefully "wash the residue" off that I couldn't get via HAND WASHING!

{the door won't open to let the cleaner out & is cleaning about 8%}

I looked at it this way.....

I can buy wine with a screw top before I can handwash dishes:)

#2 my coffee pot(s)

we have to have 2....

i fix one with the kreuig 

while the bunn brews...

it's funny how i never realized just how long 3 min really is....

sad that i can't wait 3 min & have to have it instantly!!

we really are spoiled with technology these days

so, as you can see, i am a little ocd...

i do this with the pot/cup/spoon 

every.single.night.

the minutes in the morning really matter!

and you can see we all have our favorite cups-

fyi, for those whom have asked, my ankle is not healed,
i had to ice it last night....
right now it's sore......grrrr
i can run so-so on it-
never imagined it still being this way 5 weeks later.

4.i am so thankful-
for the little things this morning, like-
my THYMES frasier fir candle burning...
my delish coffee- fresh ground beans by the mr, my love!
{although we need a new bean grinder, any suggestions?}
that lil mr {age 17} staying home to hang with his family all weekend...
my shopping day yesterday with min-me at our downtown open house...

Beautiful out.
Wind is blowing.
Leaves are falling.
THYMES Fraiser Fir candle is burning.
The Flip Flop Family is all sleeping.
I am blogging and sipping coffee.

We have no plans for the day, I love that!!
Not sure what all the weekend holds.
I think I will go wrap a few gifts and see what Christmas show is on Lifetime.
That's quickly becoming my new favorite channel.

I am going to make my Christmas Wreath with Geo Mesh...I have a love/hate relationship with it. LOVE to see it HATE to mess with it!

On another note, did anyone see Oprah yesterday?? I didn't but my mother called me as I was driving down the hwy. As she was telling me all the goodies, I was in awe......then she hit on the TB Reva's & Tote! I almost went off the road :) WHY can't I be there when this happens? When I was at the Jimmy Kimmel show, Ice-T was the guest..... see my luck? lol
 {NOT that anything is wrong with "T"  but I'd rather leave w/ Reva's instead of the lyrics to the newest rap song}

Preppy Christmas Swap Goodies

Good Morning Y'all!

I have enjoyed the emails/tweets/posts about swap goodies arriving - the excitement just thrills me to no end!

I was like a little girl at Christmas tearing through my box as the Mr brought it into the house. I just LOVE getting mail that doesn't require a check to be inserted and returned:)

So, as I am opening it, HE is all up in my stuff.....helping...ya know like those kids that would come to your birthday party and try to open your goods, like it was for them?? Yep, I think he was THAT kid! We laughed and brabbed from one another as he pulled 1, then 2, then 3 and then a 4th individually wrapped gift!! I was totally blown away & in ahhhhh at all that sweet Miss Janice had done for me. So went WAY WAY ABOVE her duty as a swap partner! I am so thankful for all she bought me & all the time and thought that went into my gifts. I will think of you everytime I put on my apron, wear my Pasmina, look at my sign & stick goodies in my precious server. I wish you were here cause I'd give you a great big (((HUG)))!

It's not fair to those who put their heart/time/money/thought into gifts not to receive a package in return or even an email.......

I can't tell you the # emails I have gotten since the first week the partners were sent out. I have had issues with  about 20% of them. I have tried to help each & everyone to the best of my ability. I, like you, don't know all these people so my hands are tied, as yours. I will apologize to you since I put the swap on. I really didn't expect to have so many commit and then not follow through, for this I am so sorry.

I didn't want to have to blog about this but when the partners/I can't get a reply and they are updating their blogs & on twitter,  know they are online and this is just the last possible way I know to try to contact.

Dang, that didn't feel too good typing that......ugh
that's not my demeanor.period. I don't like it when 
there is strife, that's why this upsets me so.
